Art Therapy
You don't have to be an artist to join this. You just have to be curious about yourself.
Art Therapy Groups
-
This is a 2-hour experiential group that uses art-making as a doorway into your internal world. Through color, line, texture, and emotional expression, you'll explore what's living beneath the surface in a way that words alone sometimes can't reach. No artistic experience or skill is required. This is about expression, not the final product.
-
The first hour is dedicated to making. You'll receive a guided prompt designed to focus your creative expression and lead you into a deeper exploration of self. A variety of art supplies will be provided and are included in the cost, so you just need to show up. The second hour is dedicated to reflecting. As a group, we'll explore what emerged in the art through observation and curiosity. Using a psychodynamic lens; which simply means paying attention to how the shapes, lines, and colors might reflect your inner emotional landscape; we’ll begin to make meaning together of what was created.
-
This group is for anyone who is curious about self-exploration, wants a creative outlet with depth, or feels like traditional talk therapy doesn't always capture the full picture. You do not need to be in therapy currently to participate.
-
Sessions meet every other week from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The group is open enrollment with a maximum of 10 participants per session to keep the space intimate and safe. What is shared in the group stays in the group, confidentiality and mutual respect are foundations of how we work together.
Individual Art Therapy
-
Individual art therapy is a one-on-one space where creativity becomes a way to explore your inner world. When words feel limited or hard to access, art offers another way to express what’s going on beneath the surface. This is not about making something “good” or artistic. It’s about using the process to better understand yourself.
-
Sessions are a mix of creating and reflecting. Sometimes we’ll start with a prompt, and other times we’ll follow what feels most present for you in the moment. You might use simple materials like drawing, painting, or collage as a way to express and explore.
We’ll then slow down and look at what emerged, noticing patterns, emotions, or themes that come up. The focus is on curiosity, not judgment, and allowing meaning to unfold in a way that feels natural and supportive.
-
This work is for anyone who feels like talking alone doesn’t fully capture what they’re experiencing, or who is drawn to a more creative, reflective approach. It can be especially helpful if you feel disconnected from your emotions, overwhelmed, or unsure how to put things into words.
You do not need any artistic experience to benefit from this work.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are tailored to your pace and needs. Materials can be incorporated as much or as little as feels right for you. This is a collaborative process, grounded in safety, curiosity, and respect for your experience.
